About KARUNAmedia

KARUNAmedia is a Vancouver-based production company that specializes in conveying Buddhist and related teachings to a Western audience.

The company principal is Rik Jespersen, a writer, journalist and broadcaster by trade, and by vocation, a meditator and student of Buddhadharma and other teachings that enable free and compassionate liberation of mind.

Rik has received teachings and blessings from many lamas and other awakened instructors, and has studied this subject area extensively for more than 30 years.

Future projects planned by KARUNAmedia include an instructional DVD similar to Being Compassion entitled Being Diamond Consciousness. This production will provide step by step exercises evoking the meditation icon Vajrasattva (Diamond Being). Vajrasattva is that aspect of mind that is greatly helpful in clearing our field of awareness, opening the way for innate compassionate wisdom to emerge.
